Well that is Stokes Bay over for another year and the highlight was definitely the final race with another convincing Qualifier race win for Lorenzo. Low light was "the one that got away" also known as the re-sailed race 3 on Sunday morning which was abandoned with Steve Cockerill leading from Samm in 4th and Chuckie in 7th. Better luck next time guys. Saturday was a notable day of contrasts with two races sailed in sunshine over a tough 15-18 knots then race 3 was abandoned just as the lightweights were coming to the fore 'cos the fat boys could not make it over the tide in the rapidly failing wind. Sunday was the opposite, starting with drizzle and a light breeze. Race 3 was again abandoned (see sob story above) and the fleet came ashore for an hour only to re-launch for two races in the afternoon. For most the journey home did not begin till around 6pm and it was well after 3 when we finally got to our beds.
Next stop is Plymouth in two weeks unless you are booked for the Open Training there with Jon Emmet this weekend.
